Friends, Romans, countrymen and women, lend me your ears. Our country is currently facing many difficulties which I won’t name all as my focus is on one today, electricity. We are bombarded with relentless loadshedding that is affecting our lives at home and work. Businesses are struggling to keep production high along with revenues. Revenues and jobs are being lost in an already squeezed economy.
While we are mostly known as the “Car Company” our mission has always been that of fighting climate change and helping South Africa be at the forefront of clean technologies.
With that said, I would like to announce that Mazibuko Energy is closing a R27 million funding round for solar energy that will mainly focus on helping small to medium-sized businesses get solar energy via a solar subscription service model.
This model is meant to help people(home, property, and business owners) get solar energy without having to worry about the upfront costs normally required.
From the 3 to 6 months starting in July we want to rapidly deploy solar packages to businesses that them the most, we understand that sometimes businesses only has about two months of runway and it’s not easy for them to get credit at banks to buy the solar packages.
